Description[ | ]

Combat is a huge aspect of Re: Legend. Throughout your adventures, you would be facing face many dangerous Magnus, some even being bosses. Pick from multiple weapon classes and bring your favorite Magnus, and prepare for great battles ahead.

The Basics[ | ]

In combat, the things you should have with you are:

While it is not necessary to equip any armour, bring items or have Magnus following you, it is ill advised to be unequipped for battle.

General Combat Controls[ | ]

These are the controls that are used when fighting on foot.

Basic Attacks[ | ]

Basic attacks are performed by:

  • Clicking the Left Mouse Button on the PC
  • Pressing the Y Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

Additional combo attack are unlocked at Level 10, adding an extra combo on basic attack.

By default, the game would target based on your cursor's location on PC, however, that can be changed to auto-targeting from the options menu.

Each basic attack consumes 0.2 Stamina Points.

Weapon Skills[ | ]

Once your skill with a certain weapon type reaches Level 15, a unique weapon charge skill will be unlocked. These skills are performed by:

  • Clicking and holding down the Right Mouse Button on the PC
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

Each weapon type has its own special skill associated with it.

Dodging[ | ]

You can dodge out of the way from incoming attacks by:

  • Pressing Spacebar on the the PC
  • Pressing the B Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

You can change the control button for dodging from the Options menu.

All enemy attacks will be displayed as a red area shortly before the attack is performed, so look out for these and dodge away quickly!

Dodging consumes 1 Stamina Point when performed.

Rune Skills[ | ]

Throughout the game, you can obtain unique Runes, either by buying them or finding them in various spots across Ethia. Runes allow players to perform certain unique activities that can alter gameplay methods, and range from increasing movement speed to summoning a meteor storm.

There are two slots in to which you can equip runes, and each rune ability can be activated by:

  • Pressing the Q and E buttons on the PC
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

Take note that Rune skills may consume Stamina when used!

You can change the control button for Rune Skills from the Options menu.

Drawing/Undrawing Weapons[ | ]

While you will automatically unsheathe your weapon to attack, and would automatically put them away, you may also manually draw your weapons by:

  • Pressing the Tilde Key (actual key can be ~, º, ¬, |,^, \, §, ², etc., depending on your keyboard layout) on the PC
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

You probably would be using them to take cool screenshots of your weapons more than actually fighting.

Mounted Combat Controls[ | ]

These are the controls for combat from the back (or head) of a Magnus.

Basic Attacks (Mounted)[ | ]

Basic attacks from a Magnus are performed by:

  • Clicking the Left Mouse Button on the PC
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the Nintendo Switch (assumed to be Y button)
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

Basic Attacks do not consume a Magnus' Stamina.

Magnus Skills[ | ]

Most Magnus are capable of secondary skills that may assist you in combat. Some even have the ability to help out in the field and gather items!

The main Magnus skill is performed by:

  • Clicking the Right Mouse Button on the PC
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

This primary ability can also be used to water plants, and log trees, amongst other things.

The other skills may be performed by:

  • Pressing the Q and E buttons on the PC
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

You can change the control button for Magnus Skills from the Options menu.

Dismounting[ | ]

You may dismount your Magnus by:

  • Pressing the G Button on the PC
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the Nintendo Switch
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the PS4
  • Pressing the ??? Button on the XBox One

You can change the control button for Dismounting from the Options menu.

States, Health and Stamina[ | ]

As with most RPG games, players have two bars that represent their basic status, in Re: Legend being Health and Stamina.

Should your Health reach zero, or Stamina less then zero, your character will faint and be brought to the Vokka Town Hospital where you will awaken the next day with 50% of your total Health and Stamina. To be healed to full, you'd either have to consume healing items or pay 250 G to Nurse Edna.

Health decreases whenever you are hit by an attack, and Stamina decreases whenever you perform certain activities. Stamina would also decrease rapidly after 12:00 midnight, so don't stay up too late!

Besides the above, there are several other states which can be inflicted, which are:
